Studies on Serum Lipoprotein Cholesterol , Serum Vitamin B12 and Serum Transaminases of Various Liver Diseases

Abstract
|
|
|
The serum ?-, ?-lipoprotein cholesterols, ?-lipoprotein, vitamin B12 and transaminase activity were -determined in 113 cases of. various diseases, i.e., liver cirrhosis, hepatoma, cholelithiasis and hepatitis and the results obtain were as follows:
1) The contents of serum ?-lipoprotein cholesterol and ?-lipoprotein cholesterol increased the liver cirrhosis as well as in the hepatoma, hepatitis and cholelithiasis. The rates, a/a+? and ?/a+? in the above cases were almost same as in the normal but ?/? was somewhat low.
2) The serum ,?-lipoprotein in all of the cases was higher in amount compared to the normal, especially in cholelithiasis.
3) The concentration of serum vitamin B12 was increased in hepatoma, liver cirrhosis, hepatitis and cholelithiasis in the decreasing order.
4) The transalninase showed increased activity in liver cirrhosis, hepatoma, cholelithiasis and hepatitis.
